Robert Gant
After Chris Potter left Queer As Folk at the end of Season 1, he was replaced by the much-hotter and evetually-proud-and-out gay man Robert Gant. His character, Ben Bruckner, was also much more interesting compared to Potter's control-freak Dr. Dave. He played hunky Carnegie Mellon University professor Ben Bruckner who has fallen madly in love for smitten comic geek Michael ( played by the cutie Hal Sparks ). Ben is smart, sexy, dorky, buff and warm. He's too perfect until he reveals that he's HIV positive. This condition has caused so much drama on and off camera for Queer As Folk but everything turned up well in the end. Ben and Michael showed the world, gay or straight, that sexuality and HIV-status are no barriers for two people who truly love each other.
I miss Bobby Gant, but the good news is that he'll be back as a guest in CSI, as Eva Mendes' co-star in the movie "Live," and as Chad Allen's leading man and co-producer for "Save Me." I can't wait to get a copy of these works, until then, here are some pics to satisfy our appetite for Robert Gant. For more information about Robert Gant, you should visit his website and Queer As Folk's fansite. They're a great source and a great read for the fans!
