Fabulous Advice Columns for the Gay Boys + More Derrick Davenport

RockYou PhotoFX - Get Your Own

Sometimes, we have questions that we just can't ask even with our own friends. However, there are other people willing to hear you out. I've been a fan of Dra. Margarita Holmes and Dan Savage, and I'm liking the new read I've discovered from Alvin Tan. Sometimes funny, at times bitchy, and often frank, their columns are straight to the point and very informative. Thank God for people like them, in a world full of religious nitwits and right-wing misinformation, Dra. Holmes ( pictured far above ), Dan ( pictured below Margie Holmes )and Alvin ( sorry, no available pic yet ) are like a shining beacon of hope and enlightenment that guides the gay soul especially during dark times. On a lighter note, I've featured Derrick Davenport several weeks ago, and I'm featuring him again because I've found more of his naughty pics ( the man is HUNG! ). More pics at Iason R*cks Riki!

Mario Vazquez's Trial...

RockYou FXText - Get Your Own
"

Two years ago, the world was about to witness the arrival of the next Ricky Martin in Season 4 of American Idol. Mario Vazquez was the fan favorite and the judge's delight. Right after the announcement of the Final 12 where he was included, he quit. Vazquez, whose signature hat, smooth dance steps and bright smile made him a favorite of fans and judge Paula Abdul, cited "personal reasons" for his departure but did not elaborate on the specifics.

Confused fans immediately took to the "American Idol" message boards, speculating about Vazquez's reason, which seemed more dubious after he told TV Guide it was for "family reasons" — but then New York's FOX affiliate contacted the singer's mother and she was unaware that her son had left the show.

Recently, Magdaleno Olmos, who was an assistant production accountant for FremantleMedia, the company that produces the show, claims he was harassed by Mario and he says a supervisor “repeatedly threatening to fire” Olmos after he reported the harassment, and was actually fired a few months later. He’s now suing Mario, FOX, FremantleMedia, and others, including 50 as-yet-unnamed people. He wants punitive damages and money for “economic losses, deprivation of civil rights, humiliation, physical anguish, and mental and emotional distress.” It sounds very bad, but what exactly did Mario do? To quote his accuser:

“Vazquez stared lasciviously, smiled lasciviously … and on one occasion followed him into a bathroom … knocked on the door of the plaintiff’s stall and made eye contact through the space in the stall door.” The lawsuit alleges that Vazquez “started to rub his genitals over his pants. Attempting to leave the bathroom, Olmos opened the door of the stall and saw Vazquez standing in front of him with his pants down masturbating.” According to the documents, Vazquez pushed Olmos “further into the stall and continued masturbating with one hand and trying to pull down Olmos’ pants with another hand.” Olmos claims that he tried to “cover his body with his hands” but Vazquez touched his “chest and stomach underneath his shirt, and Olmos’ “genitals” as Vazquez “attempted to unzip” Olmos’ pants. Vazquez then allegedly asked Olmos “if he wanted oral sex.” In the lawsuit, Olmos claims that as he “managed to get out of the stall, and attempted to leave the bathroom,” Vazquez, grabbed his arm “in an effort to stop him.” Vazquez continued to call Olmos to come back as Vazquez “stood in the bathroom with his pants still down.”

A year ago, some pyscho Christian terrorist dissed Brad and Angelina after the couple received applause and praise for their humanitarian efforts: "Today the world has gone sex crazy. Illicit sex has become the downfall of many in the Bible. Movie stars not married to each other, having babies and making headlines all over the world as though they were doing some great thing. Big deal! Just another moral pervert. And for them to become heroes for our kids. My wife and I will be married 49 years the next anniversary..." Who the f*ck cares why this idiot's dumb wife stuck by him for 49 years?! Maybe she's braindead, that explains a lot how she endured the torture. Going back to Brangelina, name me another actor who is giving one-third of her salary to humanitarian relief, or a “man of God,” for that matter. Angelina Jolie is one my heroes, dumb yotch!!! I've also started to have more respect for Brad Pitt, too.

Anyway, I also found some pics spoofing Angelina's adoption spree. They're funny, but kinda sweet, knowing how big her heart can be. Enjoy!

Celebrity Blogging

RockYou FunNote - Get Your Own

Welcome to the gayblogosphere! I think it's great that more and more celebrities are opening up and posting a lot of interesting stuff online without realy having a PR guy screen everything to be safe ( and bland ). Melissa Etheridge’s partner and new mom Tammy Etheridge (formerly Tammy Lynn Michaels of “Popular” fame) has her very own blog which has been up and running for quite some time now. Much like fellow celebrity blogger Rosie O’Donnell, Tammy writes her posts largely in haiku and other forms of poetry. It took some time to discover but it was Perez Hilton's digging that caused the low-profile blog to be placed in the spotlight. While not completely anonymous (she writes about fame, her contempt for the paparazzi , being gay, her pregnancy, Melissa’s cancer), Tammy refers to the singer only as “Honey.” I hope that despite losing her semi-anonymity in such a big way (seriously, that dude gets crazy traffic), she won’t be as open and free with her thoughts. But then, if you don’t want to share your thoughts with the world, why start a blog? You can find Tammy's blog at Hollywood Farm Girl. Girl's got some nice original poems I like.

So Cute! Loving Lezzies with Little Bundle of Joy

Rosie O'Donnel likes to blog, too. Hmmm, as if she doesn't get to air her thoughts enough, huh. I've been ambivalent about Rosie for that "Ching Chang Chong" incident where she basically dissed all Asians. Rosie, dear, not everyone has to learn English, and those who do don't have to use it all time. Anyway, when it comes to gay issues, I admire her for her passion to have GLBT rights respected and recognized. Rosie is also a parent, just like Melissa and Tammy Etheridge. It's better to have Rosie on our side, wouldn't it? You can read the poetry in her mind and heart at www.rosie.com/blog.

Rosie: Poet with a Mullet

Adult Film Stars blog, too. Justin Wells talks about blogging and loving on his MySpace. Mason Wyler has a fun blog at MySpace, too. It has avery sexy liberal atmosphere over there where he gets to discuss about a lot of relevant stuff ( the male nipple as an erogenous zone, spitting or swallowing, etc. ). It can be funny and sexy at one entry, and sweet and mushy the next. He often posts about his love for his Filipino boyfriend. Yay, ride that hottie, Pinoy brother!!!

Hollywood actors, gay or straight, open up at their blogs, some more often than the others. Gregory Michael ( straight hunk of Dante's Cove ) also writes on his online journal in MySpace from time to time. You can read about how he auditions for his new band, Auxburn, and his thoughts on acting and landing roles. I must say that Gregory makes life as an actor constantly trying to get good roles seem fun and romantic. It helps that he has hot pics of himself online.

Follow Gregory as he Blogs about Dante's Cove and his new band on MySpace

Former lovers Lance Bass and Reichen Lehmkuhl have used their MySpace blogs to discuss about issues that have affected them, about their work and about anything, such as this year's American Idol. Reichen even went to blogging war with Perez Hilton a few months back. I admire Chip Arndt, though, for using his blog not to promote himself but to promote AIDS awareness. I think this guy deserves an award, he has worked hard for the causes that he believes in.

Brandon Beemer also posts some inspirational stuff at MySpace from time to time. Others who blog, but not so often, are Charlie David, Daniel Miagany and Josh Berresford.

There are people who become celebrities for their online entries. One such person is Jared Christopher. Fans of his blog, Completely Naked, may not know how he really looks like but the guys rakes in a lot of online hits a day! I love this blog, it's like a journal and a novel that is ongoing. Jared discusses his love for 2 men, Jeff and Nathan, and all three have lived with each other for some time now, just like a family. Very interesting chemistry and dynamics here, how they handle it is amazing. Man, gay love is truly amazing. It's hard to love and committ to one person, much more with two men. Anyway, these are the blogs that fascinate me, and perhaps I'll post them in a new section in my blog. Thanks for checking MY blog, though. Keep on Readin'!
