Celebrity Blogging

RockYou FunNote - Get Your Own

Welcome to the gayblogosphere! I think it's great that more and more celebrities are opening up and posting a lot of interesting stuff online without realy having a PR guy screen everything to be safe ( and bland ). Melissa Etheridge’s partner and new mom Tammy Etheridge (formerly Tammy Lynn Michaels of “Popular” fame) has her very own blog which has been up and running for quite some time now. Much like fellow celebrity blogger Rosie O’Donnell, Tammy writes her posts largely in haiku and other forms of poetry. It took some time to discover but it was Perez Hilton's digging that caused the low-profile blog to be placed in the spotlight. While not completely anonymous (she writes about fame, her contempt for the paparazzi , being gay, her pregnancy, Melissa’s cancer), Tammy refers to the singer only as “Honey.” I hope that despite losing her semi-anonymity in such a big way (seriously, that dude gets crazy traffic), she won’t be as open and free with her thoughts. But then, if you don’t want to share your thoughts with the world, why start a blog? You can find Tammy's blog at Hollywood Farm Girl. Girl's got some nice original poems I like.

Rosie O'Donnel likes to blog, too. Hmmm, as if she doesn't get to air her thoughts enough, huh. I've been ambivalent about Rosie for that "Ching Chang Chong" incident where she basically dissed all Asians. Rosie, dear, not everyone has to learn English, and those who do don't have to use it all time. Anyway, when it comes to gay issues, I admire her for her passion to have GLBT rights respected and recognized. Rosie is also a parent, just like Melissa and Tammy Etheridge. It's better to have Rosie on our side, wouldn't it? You can read the poetry in her mind and heart at www.rosie.com/blog.

Adult Film Stars blog, too. Justin Wells talks about blogging and loving on his MySpace. Mason Wyler has a fun blog at MySpace, too. It has avery sexy liberal atmosphere over there where he gets to discuss about a lot of relevant stuff ( the male nipple as an erogenous zone, spitting or swallowing, etc. ). It can be funny and sexy at one entry, and sweet and mushy the next. He often posts about his love for his Filipino boyfriend. Yay, ride that hottie, Pinoy brother!!!

Hollywood actors, gay or straight, open up at their blogs, some more often than the others. Gregory Michael ( straight hunk of Dante's Cove ) also writes on his online journal in MySpace from time to time. You can read about how he auditions for his new band, Auxburn, and his thoughts on acting and landing roles. I must say that Gregory makes life as an actor constantly trying to get good roles seem fun and romantic. It helps that he has hot pics of himself online.

Former lovers Lance Bass and Reichen Lehmkuhl have used their MySpace blogs to discuss about issues that have affected them, about their work and about anything, such as this year's American Idol. Reichen even went to blogging war with Perez Hilton a few months back. I admire Chip Arndt, though, for using his blog not to promote himself but to promote AIDS awareness. I think this guy deserves an award, he has worked hard for the causes that he believes in.

Brandon Beemer also posts some inspirational stuff at MySpace from time to time. Others who blog, but not so often, are Charlie David, Daniel Miagany and Josh Berresford.

There are people who become celebrities for their online entries. One such person is Jared Christopher. Fans of his blog, Completely Naked, may not know how he really looks like but the guys rakes in a lot of online hits a day! I love this blog, it's like a journal and a novel that is ongoing. Jared discusses his love for 2 men, Jeff and Nathan, and all three have lived with each other for some time now, just like a family. Very interesting chemistry and dynamics here, how they handle it is amazing. Man, gay love is truly amazing. It's hard to love and committ to one person, much more with two men. Anyway, these are the blogs that fascinate me, and perhaps I'll post them in a new section in my blog. Thanks for checking MY blog, though. Keep on Readin'!
